Help! My plan’s not what I wanted…

Here at Leap in! HQ, we’re experienced at helping our members navigate the NDIS to achieve the best outcomes from their Plans.

As a Leap in! member, when your new Plan arrives, we help you to set-up your current providers, connect with new providers, give you several personalised options to use your funding and can answer all your important NDIS questions. We’re here to help you get the most out of your funding and to meet your goals.

However, if you think part of your plan or a decision that has been made is incorrect or unfair, there is a NDIS review process to get that planning decision revaluated.

The steps of the NDIS review process are:

  1. You can request a review in writing, in person or over the phone.
  2. The review of your Plan will be done by someone new from the NDIA who wasn’t involved in your original Plan meeting. This new person can keep the original decision as it is, make some changes or make a completely new decision.
  3. If you are still not happy with the planning decision, you can apply to the Administrative Appeals Tribunal to have this decision reviewed by someone outside of the NDIA.

Or, have your circumstances changed?

Unlike an incorrect or unfair decision, it may be that you have started to implement your plan and your circumstances have changed (you want to switch from being NDIA-managed to have a plan manager or you need a change to your Assistive Technology budget).

Rather than the full NDIS review process, this could be a case for ‘light touch review’ for your NDIS Plan. We understand that this happens and can help you navigate your way.
