How to prepare for your NDIS Plan meeting.

Not sure how to prepare for your NDIS Plan meeting?
Feeling completely overwhelmed?

Don’t worry! We hear this a lot.

The thought of starting your NDIS journey can be scary and easy to put in the ‘too hard’ basket.

The good news is we’re here to help and can get you started with a free pre-planning session. Simply call us on 1300 05 78 78.

We’ll take you through steps and suggestions like:

  1. Start to prepare now and give yourself time to think big.

This is your chance to really ask yourself some big questions. Where do you want to go in life? What would you like to achieve? What is stopping you or would make life easier? Give yourself time to really think it over.

  2. Make notes.

Think about your worst days and what obstacles you face. Then think about your day-to-day life and the little things that could make big differences if you could just change them. Add them to the app or even take and upload some photos. This way, you’ll have the perfect examples to show during your NDIS Plan meeting.

  3. Find your best NDIS support person.

You’re allowed to bring someone along to your NDIS Plan meeting. This could be a family member, a friend or an advocate – someone who could assist in explaining things to the NDIS Planner.

  4. Be specific.

Be ready to be as specific as possible so that you’re getting exactly what you need out of your NDIS Plan meeting.

  5. Start your NDIS planning early.

Start working on capturing your story in the app sooner rather than later so that you can feel relaxed and prepared in the lead up to your NDIS Plan meeting. You can add information and come back to it any time – it’s all in the once, safe and convenient place.
