We provide three different types of skill building programs around food plus community participation support. Our cooking programs are branded Cook + Connect including the @Centre group based cooking and social inclusion program, the @Home one on one cooking program and the @Work work experience program operating out of the Ben Roberts Café in Lawson.

The aim of the Cook + Connect @Centre group program is to upskill the participant so they can be more self-sufficient in their own home and critically to help them connect with other people.

We also offer participants the opportunity to work in a group supporting one of our community restaurants where they learn about catering and service to clients in a community setting.

Participants in the Cook + Connect @Home program receive one on one support in their own home and learn how to cook nutritious low-cost meals. They are provided with instructions to keep on the food required and how to prepare every meal they cook every day of the program.

The Cook + Connect @Work program aims to give participants work experience in a commercial kitchen to hopefully open up employment opportunities. It operates out of the Ben Roberts Café Lawson. The program is tailored to each participant depending on their capabilities.

We will also consider running our @Centre and @Home programs in the Nepean Region.
