We are a small organisation providing specialised support coordination, behaviour assessment, and behaviour planning services, for people with complex needs, their families and wider support network. Our aim is to improve quality of life for all. We work collaboratively and promote change using a positive behaviour support framework.
Specialist Support Coordination - Development and coordination of complex support systems focused on individualʼs goals, including but not limited to facilitating communication, individualised and system assessments, and coordination of complex transitions.
Specialist Behaviour Support - Behaviour Support will assist in the assessment and implementation of strategies in the home and community through brief consultation, coaching and mentoring.
Professional Support - Capacity building for organisations and professionals by providing formal training, tailored development sessions, and formal supervision.
All services we provide work using the Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework. Everybody does what they do for a reason. This phrase sums up the simple philosophy behind PBS. A belief that for each person, the behaviours they present are a form of communication, regardless of how challenging they might be for a support system to respond to. Positive Behaviour Support is a systematic approach to understand, support and encourage long term change for individuals and organisations. PBS uses a system of assessment and interventions to build on an individualʼs strengths and is strongly rooted in person centred practice. While one of the outcomes of a PBS framework is a reduction in incidents of behaviours of concern, the focus is strongly on improving the individualʼs quality of life.
