Outcomes Therapy

Outcomes Therapy provides mobile occupational therapy and therapy assistant services to children (birth to adolescence) in the Brisbane North and Moreton Bay Regional Council areas.

Outcomes Therapy provides a wide range of occupational therapy supports under the Capacity Building funding in your NDIS Plan, in the environment that is most comfortable for the child - home, school, kindergarten or childcare centre.

Our model of occupational therapy for kids, helps with everyday life activities like playing, exploring new situations, regulating their emotions when things are hard, feeding skills, making friends, learning activities (like reading, writing, spelling), and motor skills. We strongly believe in parents as partners in therapy - we listen and we help you understand your children, cope better and know how to help them overcome their challenges.

Services offered include:

• Occupational therapy assessment (initial, review, sensory processing, adaptive behaviours)
• Occupational therapy treatment/intervention sessions
• Parental and carer education
• Equipment prescription (including higher-level wheelchairs)
• Mobility training and manual handling
• Therapy assistants

Our Occupational Therapy Assistants are employed and supervised by our occupational therapists to follow home programs and community-based activities in order practice the skills being learned in therapy, in other environments and with new people. This can greatly increase skills-generalisation, shorten the duration of therapy, and assist families to integrate therapy within the home environment. This model also assists families to stretch their funding further.
