Getting an NDIS plan management provider in Queensland is easy – you simply need to ask the NDIS for it.
Getting Leap in! as your NDIS plan management provider in Queensland is easy – you simply need to:
- Ask the NDIS for plan management to be included in your plan
- Endorse Leap in! as your plan manager at your plan meeting or plan reassessment, or by calling the NDIS direct on 1800 800 110.
It’s possible to switch from Agency-managed or self management to plan management at any time. This can be done at an NDIS plan or plan reassessment meeting, or anytime by contacting the NDIS. Don’t forget you’ll need to endorse Leap in! as your plan manager with the NDIS before we can get started.
If you are already with a plan manager and want to switch to Leap in! you can sign up any time. Your providers will continue to get paid while the switch is underway.

How the NDIS is supporting people with disability from Brisbane and Queensland.
The NDIS supports Queenslanders with a wide range of primary disabilities in city, regional, remote and very remote areas.
Percentage of participants by primary disability:
- Autism 37%
- Intellectual disability (includes Down Syndrome) 14%
- Developmental delay 13%
- Psychosocial disability 9%
- Deaf or hard of hearing 5%
The highest proportion of participants is young people aged 7 to 14 who account for 28% of the total number of the active participant plans in QLD. Children aged 0 to 6 make up 17%, people aged 55-64 account for 10%, and teenagers from 15 to 18 make up 9%.
There are 14,488 Queenslanders who identify as First Nations people on the NDIS as of December 2023, approximately 10% of Queensland’s total participants. Over 7,288 people are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds (approximately 5%).
