Eyes and Independence is a Disability Specialist Provider for children and adults with a vision impairment from birth to 99 years. The team travel to you from North Brisbane, North, South and inland.

  • Early Intervention Transition (home, school, community and workplace)
  • Advice and familiarisation with vision aids and technology
  • Technology assistance (including Apple products)​
  • Assistive Technology reports for NDIS
  • Family support and training following diagnosis
  • Specialised assessments for learning media (braille, large print, audio)
  • Vision screening for young children
  • Assistance and training with daily living and general life skills
  • Orientation and mobility training (including cane skills)
  • Braille teaching, support and tutoring
  • Training staff in the workplace (for employers and employees)
  • Simulated vision loss activities (including experiences under blindfolds)
  • Educational presentations to groups, schools, workplaces and communities​
  • Skype/Zoom sessions (by negotiation) and school visits (with approval)
