We thought we’d would wrap up the week with a fun bit of news…
Later this year, 230 new emojis will be released across all platforms and among the new icons, you’ll be able to find a selection which represent a range of disabilities.
- A guide dog
- A service dog
- An ear with a hearing aid
- A deaf person
- Mechanical arms and legs
New male and female characters will also include ones:
- In a motorised wheelchair
- In a manual wheelchair
- With a walking cane
Unicode Consortium is the company responsible for defining which emojis appear on all platforms including Apple devices, Android devices and desktop computers and are behind the new release.
The new emojis will appear across all platforms later this year.
