NDIS reforms announced. What we know so far.

On 22 April, Federal Health and NDIS Minister Mark Butler announced a significant package of proposed changes to the NDIS.  We know many of you have questions and some of you are concerned. We’ve pulled together what we know so far, what it may mean for your NDIS Plan and what will happen next. What this means for you right now. There are no immediate changes to the NDIS. Your current plan, funding and supports continue as normal. If you have questions about your plan or your spending, our team is here to help. The proposed changes must pass parliament before they become law. More on that below. 4 key changes expected in 2026. Some changes will begin in 2026. They focus on how the NDIS manages, reviews and monitors plans. Unscheduled plan reassessments will be limited.These will be harder to request and will only happen in limited circumstances. Your plan is unlikely to change outside your regular review cycle, unless there is a significant change in your support needs.
